It was a toss up this week between the “hunting for eggs” picture and the “riding a tricycle in the wind” picture. Obviously, the egg picture won.
Swearing in Church
A couple of weeks ago a person in the church approached Courtney and related the following dialogue between this person and a grandchild:
The little child looked at the grandparent and asked, “Did you know that Pastor Courtney is a bad person?”
A bit curious as to what could have led to this statement, this person asked, “Really? That’s interesting. Why do you say that?”
The little child replied, “Well, she says, ‘Jesus Christ,’ out loud and a lot every Sunday, and we’re not allowed to say that at home.”
Courtney had a good laugh, and the following Sunday had a good conversation with this little girl about when it is okay to say, “Jesus Christ.”

Photo of the Week – Fargo
I (Dan) had the privilege of spending this past weekend with young adults in Fargo, ND. We explored themes of leadership and missions. I tried to use a passage from Philippians chapter 2 and this title to frame our conversations:
“Cross-shaped living and leadership – thoughts on servanthood, significance, and the power of God”
Anyway, I took the following photo while driving around town when I first arrived.

Photo of the Week – Celebrating 102 years !
This past week, Ceara and Caleb brought flowers to a friend who just turned 102! Ceara sang her rendition of Happy Birthday, and then asked if she could have a cookie. Caleb just went straight for the cookie ![]()
Our friend hoisted both kids onto her lap so we could get a picture. She lives life full of spunk, joy, and deep peace. We love the brief visits we have with her. She continues to knit numerous prayer blankets for church to distribute to those in hospital, hospice, or going out into mission.
