This past week Ceara went to visit Nana and Poppy with Courtney, and Caleb tried his first foot-long hotdog (he ate the whole thing).

Ceara and Caleb amaze us everyday. They have been awesome sports through these weeks of transition as they have slept in NINE different locations in the past four weeks. Hopefully tomorrow night, July 4th, we will finally be able to settle down in the parsonage in NJ.
Even though they have had their moments of crankiness and tiredness (we have had those moments, too!) during this time, they have – for the most part – gone with the flow and kept in swing with things.
We caught this moment this afternoon as they played together.
This past week we celebrated Ceara’s third birthday. Our friends have a farm and three horses, and Ceara rode two of them: a little brown pony named Brownie (pictured here) and a big black Arabian named Montenegro, or Monte for short. This picture captures the pure joy Ceara has for horses and it reflects the pure joy with which God blessed us through her life.
This past week, Ceara and Caleb brought flowers to a friend who just turned 102! Ceara sang her rendition of Happy Birthday, and then asked if she could have a cookie. Caleb just went straight for the cookie 🙂
Our friend hoisted both kids onto her lap so we could get a picture. She lives life full of spunk, joy, and deep peace. We love the brief visits we have with her. She continues to knit numerous prayer blankets for church to distribute to those in hospital, hospice, or going out into mission.
