This past weekend, on our way from Chicago to New Jersey, we stopped at some friends’ house. They took us out on their boat to watch the sunset. The kids had a great time.
Caleb spent the week with Dan at New England’s Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
He played a lot. This catches him yawning, yet dressed in swimsuit and frog boots ready for another day of play.
This past week Ceara went to visit Nana and Poppy with Courtney, and Caleb tried his first foot-long hotdog (he ate the whole thing).
This past weekend we had the wonderful privilege and opportunity to celebrate the wedding of some friends in Boston. We had a great time.
This past week Ceara said that she wanted to celebrate daddy’s birthday with a birthday luau. So she and Caleb and mommy transformed the dining room into a beach scene, greeted daddy with “grass” skirts, and then danced around to surfer/beach music.
What fun. What a celebration. Yippee.
This past weekend saw nice enough weather for Courtney to teach Ceara and Caleb about planting seeds.
This past weekend we gathered in Ohio to remember Courtney’s grandfather in a memorial service. The family took this time to say goodbye. Courtney and her cousin, also an ordained minister, performed the service together.
The family also used this time to say hello. This is the first time all eight of Poppy’s great-grandchildren have been in the same place at the same time. We enjoyed the time as family and the time to reconnect with extended family.
